When we hear that someone has become successful or rich, many people begin to learn the way of these people and are trying to apply it in their lives in the hope that this is the key to success. But do other people’s habits or principles, even the most successful ones, always work in our lives? We decided to do some research and check it out. So, TOP 10 habits of successful people:

1. If you want to be successful, you have to get up early.

If you sleep a lot and work a little – it will be very difficult for you to succeed. But! This rule is not quite true! A lot of people are owls by their nature. For example, I find it very difficult to go to bed before 12 and get up early. But the productivity of owls is much higher at night and another big plus is that there are no distractions. So we’ve come to the conclusion that it doesn’t matter when you wake up. The main thing is how much time you work and how productive it is.

Why, then, do all successful people wake up early? There are some advantages in waking up early. Morning gives you time to tune in to the working day, to bring thoughts and body in order, to meditate and think about the coming day. If you wake up 10 minutes before leaving the house, you are automatically tense and can not start working in a good mood. Or maybe all successful people are larks?

2. You need to read. A lot.

Bill Gates read an hour every day before going to bed. According to Steve Jobs’ biography, written by Walter Isaacson, he read a lot, but there was only one book about business on his list. You don’t need to read books only about your job or about the business. Fiction can also easily inspire you. The main thing is that the literature must be of high quality.

3. Never stop learning.

This is the rule of our company. It is very important to develop yourselves. This point is similar to the previous one. But we talk not only about books. Nowadays we have a lot of great opportunities for training. But it should be regular. Think over your day so that you have a special time for this.

4. Set long-term goals.

Long-term planning will help to see where you are moving, whether you are going in the right direction. Think where you see yourself in a year, three, five … fifty years? Think about what you need to do to achieve your goals. Visualize!

TIP: you might find this funny, but! draw your goals! this will help you to present the end result more clearly.

5. If you failed, get up and do again. Don’t give up.

This rule is one of the most important! if Henry Ford had given up after his first failure, today, maybe we’d still be riding horses. He himself said about the failures: “Failures give only reason to start again and more intelligently. Honest failure is not shameful; the fear of failure is shameful”

6. Reduce the time spent in the network to a minimum. Minimize all distractions.

If you visit Facebook or Instagram 20 times a day for at least three minutes, it takes you one hour of your time. You don’t even notice it. But, this time can be used for something more important. Of course, this does not apply to those who conduct their business in social networks. Determine what distracts you and steals your time and think how to remove it. It can be TV series, social networks, or games on mobile. Which one is yours?

7. Daily schedule.

Many people think that the daily schedule is boring, but! I believe that the schedule of the day helps to keep everything in order. Thanks to it, we spend less time thinking and making decisions. Remember black turtleneck, blue jeans and New Balance sneakers of Steve jobs? Why did he always wear the same clothes? He just didn’t want to waste his time thinking about what t-shirt to wear today. Thanks to the schedule of the day you always know what to do. You don’t need to decide what to do after waking up, when to leave the house if you need to go to office, etc. It’s not boring, it’s thoughtful! Try it! and then tell us in the comments what you think about it.

8. Keep a diary.

Diaries can be different. Someone writes a diary to pour out the soul, to share emotions. Other people write diaries more like a book of reports, where they write down what they have achieved in a day, what they have done. In any case, it is useful to keep a diary at least for re-reading it from time to time, to be happy with how much you have moved forward and to think about mistakes and how not to make them again. But do not forget to write your dreams in the diary! Some time passes and it will be very nice to see that some of them have come true and to think about how to reach those that are still on the list. By the way, it is not necessarily to use paper to keep a diary nowadays, there are a lot of services that can help you with this.

9. Do sports to have a healthy mind in a healthy body.

Physical exercises not only help us to feel cheerful and healthy. Sports also help us to clear our brains. If you have an unsolvable problem – wear a sports uniform and go to the gym or go jogging. You will not notice how you find a way out of the situation or solve a super complex problem!

10. Take a day off.

Work is good, favourite work is even better. But it is still not possible to earn all the money in the world. Learn to relax, spend time with family and friends. It is difficult to maintain relations without communication. Choose a day, turn off your phone, organize a vacation to yourself and to your loved ones! And it does not matter whether it is a picnic or a visit to the cinema, or maybe even shopping. Choose something that brings pleasure! But the main thing is not to think about work! And the next day, keep working with new strength!

So, what’s the conclusion? What can we say about that? All these habits do work, but you can not blindly follow these rules. They need to be converted into your life and your goals.

And what advice is the most interesting for you? Which one will you try first? Tell us in the comments! And as always, do not forget to share useful articles with your friends!
